Based in Traverse City, our team partners with Kids Hope USA to mentor students at Traverse Heights Elementary School. Mentors meet with their students for 50 minutes each week during school lunch/recess. Activities can include playing board games, crafts, and skill building through reading and math support. Mentors also help to support school staff and students through various events/projects as needed. If you have a heart for children and building positive, nurturing relationships with them, then this may be the opportunity for you! Please note: Mentors must be at least 16 years of age, and are required to complete Kensington Church screening and Kids Hope USA curriculum training. Mentors are also expected to be Kensington members or regular attenders, and willing to serve a minimum of one school year in the program.
