Mandated Reporter Training

Child abuse is hard to talk about, but knowing what to look for and how to respond can make a real difference. Churches have an important role to play in protecting vulnerable people and creating safe spaces for children, and mandated reporting is one practical way we can take that responsibility seriously.

Mandated reporting means certain people who work or volunteer with children are legally required to report suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities. This training will help you recognize the signs of abuse, understand what to do when something doesn’t seem right, and respond appropriately. The more prepared we are, the better equipped our churches and communities are to protect vulnerable individuals and strengthen community safety.

This training is open to Kensington staff and volunteers, community members, professionals, and people from other churches or organizations. We’d love to have people from across our community join us and learn together.
