Spiritual Care Visitation Team
Visit people in nursing homes and hospitals to provide a spiritual presence, care for the residents and pray for them. Volunteer responsibilities include visiting nursing homes going room to room to talk with residents, pray for them and provide communion as requested. On weekends we provide services similar to Kensington’s, but on a much smaller scale so we need greeters, speakers, singers.
Volunteer responsibilities may also include coordinating and leading Bible studies, providing pet therapy, making crafts, jewelry or blankets for residents or leading classes for the residents to make artsy stuff and writing letters or making cards for special occasions like birthdays, Christmas or Easter holidays.
